I'm a new writer of science fiction and adventure tales. I also make occasional forays into fantasy and realistic fiction. I love post-apocalyptic settings, utopias and dystopias, coming-of-age stories, and stories about underdogs struggling against the machine.

Not writing-related, but important

On September 25, 2010, I will be participating in Fight Gone Bad to help raise funds for three very important and worthy charities:

  • Lance Armstrong Foundation identifies and acts on the issues faced by cancer survivors in order to comprehensively improve quality of life for members of the global cancer community.
  • Wounded Warrior Project believes the greatest casualty is being forgotten. WWP provides unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.
  • CrossFit Foundation provides support and assistance to the CrossFit community, the men and women of the military, law enforcement and first responder communities and their families in times of need.

What is Fight Gone Bad?
It’s a brutal, 17 minute long workout, which was named after a UFC Fighter finished it and was asked what the experience was like. He responded “it was like a fight gone bad.” The rules specify three rounds of one minute each of five stations:

1. Wall-ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
2. Sumo deadlift high-pull (Reps)
3. Box jump (Reps)
4. Push-press (Reps)
5. Row (Calories)

(Your final score is a number. My score from last year was 210.)

Fight Gone Bad has has raised a total of $2 million in the 5 years it’s been in existence. This will be my third year participating, and my goal is to raise more funds than I did last year, as well as beating my score from last year.

If you would like to help out, please visit my Fundraising Page. Any size donation, no matter how small, is very much appreciated.

Thank you for your support!
